The Salty Cave is a new Cave Biome that appear under large Mountains, there you can find Salt, wich when combined with Copper Ingots forms Salar Ingots, a new Material, similar to diamond, but with the ability to increase speed and damage when the user gets damaged.

But beware, because there is also the Hot Rod Creeper, a variant of the Creeper with an even more dangerous explosion.
